Re: A grand haul

My last trip to the wholesalers yielded yet more Laphroaig and the trip previous to that was when I picked up Chivas Regal Gold Reserve and Isle of Jura, both in display boxes which included 2 glasses and a hip flask, respectively. That's the other thing they always have there. Not just the standard...

Re: MaCAllan sells for $54,000

Seriously though, what's the oldest single Malt you've tasted? For me that would be 30yr old Glenmorangie when working in Inverness, Scotland. The distillery is not too far a drive from the city, so it was quite common place around there. I spent 4 weeks delivering training and each night, when I r...

Dear sir. You are wise beyond your years and to be congratulated! You are correct in observing that oxidation does take place. My remedy for this is to decant the contents of a partial bottle into a scrupulously clean container of the correct size. Such as a silver flask, or small crystal decanter....

Well I am always keen to oblige a fellow of the gentry when my aid is needed. Now let me see where I should begin. I rid myself of the first spouse rather hastily when it was decided that she was not of a suitable 'claibre' for the kind of grooming you have in mind. She was a spiteful harlot I assur...

I haven't tried either I am afraid, but what I normally do in this kind of predicament is either buy them both or alternatively buy one and then the other when cash flow allows. Flawless advice :tippin:

Laphroaig

This was a new whiksey for me in not only the sense that I have never tasted this particular one before, but I was also an Islay Isle virgin. I normally like to take my whiskey with a couple of ice cubes, but the taste of this stuff is so awesome I dont want it watered down. I have taken to using th...

A grand haul

If you are like me and loathe shopping then there are few things that can make the trip a little more bearable. This week was a trip to the wholesalers to pick up various things in bulk. Now the one saving grace they have is their absolutely fantastic selection of whiskey. I present to you this week...

It's a fact that I hope anyone reading this forum is aware of, but just in case anyone is in need of a reminder it's Mr Jack's birthday in September. :tippin:
