I'm not sure if the cork gives wine any taste but I know it allows the wine to breathe which might affect the wine. However the breathing has no effect on stronger alcohol as far as I understand.

I almost bought Gentleman Jack from Estonia. It is a hard decision but what I've come to understand is that the Single Barrel is the superior product. I have not had the pleasure of sampling either yet.

Quarter Cask is nice stuff despite the smokiness Señor Pablo mentioned I don't like. If I recall correctly the 10 year old was smokier than the Quarter Cask.

At the moment I'm going to have to go with Wild Turkey No. 8. This might change though as soon as I open the Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage 1996. I suspect it is absolutely delicious.
