You have nice rums there. Is that Admiral Nelson behind Mount Gay? What do those square bottles contain? They look interesting. The bottle behind the Mount Gay is Admiral Rodney from St. Lucia....the rum that started it all for me. The square bottles are my very precious treasures: my samples of Te...

I'd just like to say that I've been thoroughly enjoying this thread as I've slowly worked through it during the work-day (been a busy day today).

Lots of great information and ideas here. My wife and I are actually in the very early stages of trying to set up a rum tasting evening with some friends.

I actually haven't written much in the past so I am still struggling with the reviews a bit. This isn't easy to do, because I know you *want* to blog, but try to review a rum a night, but don't put any up on the site. Review a rum, take notes. The next night, re-read and edit that review, and revie...

Be honest; it's just another bottle of my rum that you are stalking.
But if I stalk YOU then I can make you make MORE THAN ONE! :)

WOW! That is a well-displayed collection. Mine...well, not so much. We're a tad short on space, so I basically took over part of a small shelf behind the TV. Some day soon the wife and I plan to put up a real bar/display cabinet, but we're short on room for now. http://www.robold.com/downloads/rumsh...

I recently finished a bottle of the Pampero, but I don't recall whether or not it had a bottle number.

I need to replenish!

One of my favorite light rums is Green Island, and should be available in the EU. We can't get it in the US. I picked up a taste for it while adventuring in Africa. My understanding is that the Starr Africa rum is the Green Island rum re-branded for the US market. Correct, but I haven't been able t...

I've always been a fan of the Monte Cristo line because I enjoy a cigar with good spice on the tongue and I've never found them to be too heavy on the pocketbook.

Greetings all.

I've finally made my way over here and registered. I'm another disciple of Demon Rum, just looking for a tall glass and some spirits to put in it.

Actually, I'm just stalking Angelsword.

In my personal opinion, the Appleton Estate V/X is an excellent starter rum. It's not a sipping rum, really, but it's a step above the more common mixers that you'll find out there. As any cocktail connoisseur will tell you, the better the ingredients, the better the cocktail. If you're looking for ...
