Honestly, 1 Barrel is a very difficult rum to place. It's really way too young to be considered a sipper, and as a flavored rum I perceived it as way too single-minded (artificial maple syrup) and overpowering. I suppose it might make a mixer, assuming you are in love with faux maple.
