I've updated the forum software to the latest phpbb. While the current template may look weird please be patient while I will recreate the old one. If all goes well it should be up by the weekend.
Problem solving: If you experience any problems drop me an e-mail using the contact form on the frontpage or the e-mail you already may know.
Whats new?
Everything it appears. Lots of new features that I think will be useful and fun.

Problems with the activation e-mails persist so I will have to activate all new accounts manually till I get this thing fixed. The board will not send any PM notifications either.

The quick reply can be arranged and you should be seeing some subforums you wanted pretty soon. First things first though. I need to sort this e-mail tomfoolery and recreate the old template. I will be keeping this template as an option as well and will probably create changes to it that will make it more suitable for Refined Vices. If you guys have energy you could do that too if you want to.

I wont be able to recreate the old template for now because it wont work with this version of phpbb3. I installed it and tried it out and I could not access the admin control panel anymore. I will have to wait for an update for the template.

Dear Count. A pity that the template wouldn't stick here...I had grown rather fond of it I must admit. I must say that this "cool blue" template feels more like filling out a medical insurance form, instead of pulling up the old armchair in a smoking robe.
That said, I stand by your side in your effort to improve the forum functions.

The author of the template responded and said he will start converting the templates soon.

This does not seem like a color scheme appropriate to REFINED VICES. This is the baby boy room at a childrens hospital.

Default style has been updated to a little more refined style.
If you still have the old blue style go to your user control panel and board preferences and select the new template "Refined Vices Gold."

Classic template style is now officially available in your board preferences. I've made a few minor adjustements to the old graphics and of course it has the features of PHPBB3. Enjoy.

Classy! I do like my Chesterfields, though it does remind me of an unfinished web page I was doing about chesterfields! I may get time to do some work on it over the next few days so thanks for the update and the reminder!

But of course. Afterall what is rum or whiskey without a diamond buttoned wingchair and a roaring fireplace...

I did some graphical changes and optimizations to the frontpage template.
- Changed background
- Removed gap above header
- Rounded corners in the footer
- Centered Popular and Latest News

I added some handy text and image alignment codes as well as a youtube tag (YT) that should make text formatting a little easier.
Example center.
Example right.

As most of you have probably already noticed, I have updated the default style to look more like the frontpage. Those of you who use the other styles on this board I recommend you go to your board preferences and select the new style 'Carbon' and check it out. I welcome any feedback.
Cheers!

Hello everyone!
Simple updates again but I'm sure you'll find it more pleasing to the eye.
Forum header updated.
The forum background is now rich brown suede (or leather) instead of the old solid brown background. I felt the old background was bit stale. I've done the same update for the frontpage.
The frontpage updates will only work if you have IE9 or higher or Firefox 3.6 or higher and any other current browser. Unfortunately the changes on the frontpage will not work for IE8 (the old style is loaded automatically for IE8 and lower).
