Count Vladimir Svareff, reporting for duty. I have every intention of becoming an inveterate aesthete thanks to this electronic textual and graphical conversational medium.

Ladies and Gentlemen (particularly the ladies), introducing Le Comte de la Vesteverte, who burns both the Canadian and Australian ends of the candle having been born in the New World and spent the last decade and a half stranded in the colony.
My Canadian heritage and paternal Scottish ancestry have marked me with a taste for Scotch and Canadian whiskies, while my formative years spent in the tropics have left a caramel sweet taste for rum on my palate. We shan't delve into my maternal German and Russian lineage until such time as a discussion of Schnapps or Vodka becomes appropriate.

As a scholar of literature may I suggest that I find the works of Joseph Conrad wonderfully complimentary to an evening spent alone in the company of rum, whisky and a cigar.

Unless I am mistaken, didn't the Bundaberg go down in a heap of flames in New Jersey, U.S.A. in the '30's?
Dacaqa Fe Noyetuxuhe wrote:Good day all. I am Dacaqa Fe Noyetuxuhe of somewhere with Spanish heritage.

Taking Henry Deare up on his first statement, I am surprised that any Australian even consumes that foul swill that is Bundaberg.

Dear Mistress Elena. It is your perogative to enjoy whatever pre prandial suits you. You bring to this forum a delightful distraction. With a bit of dash in lighting my cigar and tipping my fedora, I welcome you. Regards
Mistress Elena de Tarte wrote:Excellent website you have here, good sirs.

While I am not a particular fan of rum, I do enjoy the occasional scotch on the rocks and find a gentleman smoking a cigar to be quite dashing.

Greetings to all and sundry, I trust my reputation precedes me. Lord Stirling Johnson, Duke of Boxduster. I enjoy fine rums of all colour, quality cigars, and long walks on my private beach. So long as the bourgeois browsers of this frightfully accessible Internet stay away, I trust I'll enjoy my time here.

ēditus: Could those in the right department please provide us with a monacled emoticon, or perhaps an emoticon with a fine cigar?

A very warm welcome to all the new gentlemen and ladies who have registered today. I propose a toast!

Your reputation indeed precedes you Lord Stirling. There are already a few emoticons in our selection that fit your criteria but of course if any of you gentlemen or ladies can provide better ones I am more than happy to add them. :tippin:

I am an independent distiller of rums, vodkas, whiskeys, and whiskys. But I enjoy many fine spirts produced by others as well.

Good morning all. I thought I'd drop in to the officers club before I inspected the troops.

I enjoy a good scotch and also the occasional snifter of cognac.

I collect swords and partake in fox hunts. In the absence of a fox then shooting the local indigenous population can be quite satisfying.

It's a pleasure to be here.

Greeting good sirs and madam.

I am an American expatriate wandering distant and exotic lands stopping by these parts to share the experiences and oddities I've encountered. Although my consumption of fine spirts has lagged in recent years by the demands of my temperament my standards for such pleasures has been reduced not a whit.

And I still keep a keen sense of quality for the vices I retain. Coffee, for example. Because one must remember, caffine is what puts a man on his horse and a woman in his grave.

Dear Mr Gorton,

You should seriously consider fancying up your name lest you be mistaken for one of the plebs or the butler.

Yours Sincerely,

I believe my name carries sufficent import for this refined atmosphere. Remember, as an American we lack the British taste for titles on one's nom-de-plume but, instead, rely on the worth of the man's reputation itself. In this case, I'll leave the task to you.

Mon Cheri Ermenegildo... I quite wish I was in the position to introduce you into this wonderful den of all things sensual. Alas, the delight does not fall upon me. I am sure one of our members here can give an evocotive introduction for you. Should you ever need a respite in the West Indies, please know that I am at your service. Regards.

Point taken good sir.

So long as we both like our whiskey wet and our whores dirty then it'll be the grounds for a long lasting friendship.

Aloha!

This is about as refined as I get. Laid back, comfortable, with a properly-made Mai Tai in an approved container.

But my palate, I'm happy to say, is quite refined when it comes to rums. Well, let's just say that the rest of me is always pleased when something meets the palate's approval, so the rest of me figures that my palate is quite refined indeed.

It's good to meet all of you.

Does anyone know he?

Good evening lads. Just thought I would pop in and report that I am hale and hearty whilst bivouacked with the boys down here at the British Antartic Survey. The daily ration of grog has gone far to keep spirits high here on this god forsaken place. I still cannot understand why we did not let the bloody Argentinians just have the rocks. Still, it was good to thrash them silly. Of course I hope to post some of my memories of days gone bye swilling the kill devil on my various campaigns. God willing.

Ahh, you must mean Jefferson St. Fontaine VI. Indeed it is his birthday today and a fine gentleman he is. I've been expecting his letters for a while now but we have not been fortunate enough to receive any of them yet.
