Facebook share button

I just incorporated a Facebook "Share button" in every article on the frontpage. What it does when you click it is it opens a pop up that gives you the option to share it on Facebook and it will then post it to your newsfeed.
An alternative for the share button is the "Like" button, which is basically the same but will only post in your own profile without the option to include a thumbnail or any other text.
Let me know what you guys think about this and whether I should change it to like button instead.
