Mould in Cigars

I still have not been able to purchase a real humidor with nice cedar linings and a mahogany exterior so have had to use a temporary plastic lunch box to store what little cigars I have. However I've had some small problems with mould on a couple of the cigars I have and was wondering if anyone here could share how you can combat mould. I believe this mould could have been caused by excess humidity in the box.
