I recently purchased (or rather my mother purchased for me) a bottle of Hennessey Very Special cognac. This is my first foray into cognac and I am wondering if anyone can offer advice on how to best enjoy this fine drink.

Mix it with coke - the VS is the bottom of the range brandy and is designed as a mixer

Lord Neville, I would first try it from a cognac glass and then mixing with cola as suggested.

VS is a very young cognac, however still I would not venture into the world of mixing cognac and cola together..
