Poll is on the FRONTPAGE.
I intend to make eggnog this year and perhaps some irish coffee and have good old rum straight. What is your favorite christmas drink and do you have good recipes?

Well I had Eggnog according to Jeffrey Morgenthalers recipe as well as some Irish Coffee and Galliano Hot Shots and of course plain old rum. Don't know if I'm a fan of eggnog anymore, the eggs made it sort of "icky."

I forgot to participate in the poll, but over here we enjoyed a bit of traditional Trini Ponchacreme (or punch-a-creme).
Here is the old recipe we follow (and the recipe may vary from family to family) - please pay attention to the fact that this makes a LOT of ponchacreme. In the older days when the country had significantly less crime and life was good, troups of people used to gather around and go serenading from house to house, playing the traditional Trinidadian Christmas music, Parang. It was customary then for the house to offer the paraderos some food and drink, and Ponchacreme was very popular..!
Trinidad Ponchacreme
3 tins of Evaporated milk (Nestle)
3 tins of Condensed milk (Nestle)
1 Bottle 0.7 litres puncheon rum (any good medium-bodied rum will do, but change in flavour will affect the whole, of course
12 eggs
A good dash of Angostura bitters
1 - 2 teaspoons of Vanilla essence (optional)
Few drops of lime juice / Rind of green lime
1/2 Grated nutmeg
1 Cinnamon stick bark piece (do not oversoak, so don't leave it in for long time)
3 Cloves
Mix together in a blender eggs, milks, nutmeg and other spices. Once mixed, then finally add the lime and bitters and stir in.
